Writing rubrics can be time consuming, but fortunately the people at 4teachers.org
have created some tools to make your life easier. 4teachers.org makes a suite of programs that vary in levels of utility depending on the grade level you teach. The focus of the video I've included here is on Rubistar.
Rubistar is a rubric making utility. You can select from a variety of preformed rubrics and modify them to your needs or you can use the rubrics as written.
If you use rubrics to grade your students' work then you're already familiar with the benefits of using rubrics. If you have not used rubrics, click here to see a good article about the benefits of using rubrics.
