Language Exchange Community

From the people that created the very popular Rosetta Stone software, comes Rosetta Stone Shared Talk. The Shared Talk website is a completely free website where visitors can practice and develop their language skills. Like other language exchange services Shared Talk lets users create profiles and search for native speakers of the language they're trying to learn. Shared Talk has public chat areas where students can ask questions, have conversations, and develop their language skills.

Applications for Education
Shared Talk is dedicated to maintaining their network as a place for students to practice and develop language skills. While there is some degree of social networking built into Shared Talk, Shared Talk seems to be more focused on skills development than similar services. Shared Talk could be a good place for students to learn cultural and informal elements of language that they might not be exposed to in a typical classroom.
