Digital Storytelling In Plain English

If you're someone who has heard the term "digital storytelling" but you're still not sure what that really means, take a few minutes to watch this video created in the Common Craft style. The video was created by a group of students in Stanford's Teacher Education Program.

Thanks to Miguel Guhlin for the video link.

Digital stories in the sense of B Porter are created to evoke emotion from the audience using sound and images. I was disappointed in this video for the definition given to the term digital story.I feel what is being described is more along the lines of an enhanced powerpoint.
Guess I'd need some examples, and I don't mean to be critical of the effort to explain, but having attended workshops on the topic, I think this misses the true meaning.
