Make History - Collective Telling of 9/11 Stories

Tomorrow marks the eighth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington. Make History is a site that was developed by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum to give people a place to share their stories of September 11, 2001. Users of the site can add images and video along with text telling of their stories. The stories will be geo-located and displayed on a Google Map in a unique use of Street View.

The Official Google Blog was my source of news for this story.

Applications for Education
A lot of today's high school students and most of today's middle school students are too young to have fully understood all of the ramifications of that day. Make History could be a good site to have students explore to get a better understanding of what happened and how people felt on September 11, 2001.

Thanks for this link! I am a paramedic and responded to NYC for 9-11 from Connecticut. It was a life changing experience that I share with my students each year. This site will allow me to share my memories with others.
