Ancient Web - The Ancient World's Great Civilizations

The Ancient Web is a primarily commercial website, however it does provide some good, free reference materials for students. The Ancient Web focuses on offering articles and images explaining the history and culture of ancient civilizations around the world. Students can search the website by keyword or by country name.

Applications for Education
The Ancient Web is a good general reference for students researching ancient civilizations and cultures from around the world.

For some good videos about ancient civilizations visit the PBS and National Geographic channels on Snag Films. To learn more using Snag Films in the classroom please read in this article in which I explain how Snag Films solves two problems for me.
