There are many teachers who want to start using technology in their classrooms, but just aren't sure where to start. That's why I got together ten prominent ed tech bloggers, teachers, and school administrators to create The Super Book of Web Tools for Educators. In this book there introductions to more than six dozen web tools for K-12 teachers. Additionally, you will find sections devoted to using Skype with students, ESL/ELL, blogging in elementary schools, social media for educators, teaching online, and using technology in alternative education settings.
Here's the list of contributors to The Super Book of Web Tools for Educators:
George Couros, Patrick Larkin, Kelly Tenkely, Adam Bellow, Silvia Tolisano, Steven Anderson, Cory Plough, Beth Still, Larry Ferlazzo, Lee Kolbert, and Richard Byrne. If you like what you read, please visit the contributors' blogs and let them know.

WOW! Merry Christmas to me! Thank you for another excellent, free book.
Dear Richard I congratulate all authors for this free 2.0 book for teachers worldwide but I propose new tools and apps and also 2 web 2.0 and social media web browsers .
1 . Pearltrees is a social curation tool. It lets you organize, discover and share the stuff you like on the web. I used pearltrees and twitter for global sharing and worldwide collaboration http://tinyurl.com/pearltreesedtech20 .
2. Jogtheweb - JOG THE WEB is a web-based tool that allows anyone to create a synchronous guide to a series of web sites.
Its step by step approach of taking viewers through web sites allowing the author to annotate and ask guiding questions for each page is unique.

3. SpicyNodes is a way to visualize online information that mimics that way that people look for things in the real world.
4. web 2.0 and social media browser 2.0 rockmelt and new flock http://luciandumateachweb20.eu/page10.php
As always, your site provides the most wonderful resources for us to use. Thanks so much and what a wonderful resource.
thanks again for all of the wonderful resources. I use so many of the items you post or share them with friends and refer them to your great blog
Merci beaucoup! This is a wonderful book that teachers of French in New Zealand will welcome and hopefully put to good use! Thank you to all contributors to the book for your relentless enthusiasm for web tools and how they contribute to the evolution of teaching and learning. Joyeux Noêl et Meilleurs Voeux!
I have had a goal to read 365 books this year and I am glad that this book is one of them (it is book 340). Thanks to all the contributors. We are implementing one to one netbooks in January at my school and I think that this book will help a lot of teachers at my school who just don't know where to start. If you want to know more about our one to one implementation experiences visit my blog.

What a phenomenal service! Thank you.
The part about including Skype in class is very innovative. It really links the modern era with the education environment.
Amazing resource! Making sections specifically for Elementary, Middle, High School and so on is great! Thank you. :)
great, merci pour le contribution,
Thank you to all who contributed to this resource. With the vastness of the web, it is great to be pointed in the direction of web 2.0 tools that have been recommended by teachers. You should all be commended for your willingness to post this as a free resource. You are modelling something far more powerful than the creation of the resource itself - sharing and collaboration! I will be sharing this link with Learning Coach and Learning Consultants in my school division. Much appreciated.
Hi Richard, you've had a brilliant idea for this initiative. I'm sure it will be a useful guide for teachers who approach the world of web and want to innovate their teaching. Congratulations.I hope that your information will also serve those who are most reluctant to take the path of innovation to change their behavior and their ideas.
I can't thank you enough!! This ebook is just what I need! Thank you so very much for facilitating this effort....so many questions answered...so many resources provided. Christmas for my brain!
Thank you for this valuable resource. One editing issue that I have found is in the Middle School section, the url for bitstrips.com is spelled bitstrops.com

What an amazing resource! Thanks to all the contributors.
Great resource. Thanks for putting it together, and thanks for the nod on page 42. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for this amazing resource. I agree that the best teaching is always built upon
relationships. With this in mind, web 2.0 tools and social media can do so much to support and extend learning and teaching relationships.
