Flubaroo is my favorite Google Sheets Add-on for grading quizzes developed and distributed through Google Forms. Flubaroo enables you to to grade all of your students' quiz responses at once with just a few clicks. For quite a while Flubaroo has allowed you to email grades and answer keys to students after you complete the grading process. Now you can also share grades, your students' answers, and the answer key with them through Google Drive. This is a great option for schools that use Google Apps for Education, but don't have email enabled for students.
When you share grades and answer keys through Google Drive Flubaroo will create a folder in your Google Drive in which you will be able to see all of your students answers and grades. Students will receive individualized documents that contain their responses, their grades, and the answer key (you can choose to disable sharing the answer key). Click here to learn more about how to share grades from Flubaroo.
The latest update to Flubaroo includes a new option for printing grades. You can now choose "print grades" from the advanced menu in Flubaroo. Selecting "print grades" in Flubaroo will create a document in your Google Drive account. That document will contain each students' answers and grade. A page-break will be included between each student's name so that you can distribute a single, individualized page to each of your students. Click here to learn more about how to use this feature. It is important to note that the creation of the grade document is not instantaneous, it can take five minutes for the document to populate all of the requested information.

GrammarFlip - Online Grammar Lessons for Students
GrammarFlip is a free service that offers an extensive set of grammar lessons. The basic format of the lessons in GrammarFlip is a video and slideshow followed by a couple of review exercises. The content of the video is based on the slideshow. The video in the lesson is essentially a narration of the slides. The review exercises in GrammarFlip lessons are a mix of multiple choice questions and fill-in-the-blank questions.
Applications for Education
Teachers can register on GrammarFlip and create online classrooms. Once you have created a classroom on GrammarFlip students can join it by entering an access code that you assign to the room. Within your GrammarFlip classroom you can distribute lessons and track your students' progress on the lessons that you have assigned to them.

Free Health Lesson Plans, Quizzes, and Educational Games
Yesterday's post about health and fitness apps for students prompted one reader to ask for health and fitness lesson plan resources. The first resource that came to my mind was Kids Health in the Classroom.
Kids Health in the Classroom is a great place to find lesson plans, videos, and games for teaching personal health topics to students of all ages. For teachers the biggest feature of Kids Health in the Classroom is the large set of teacher's guides containing lesson plans, activities, and worksheets available as free PDF downloads. The teacher's guides are divided into five grade level categories from pre-K through high school. Above the pre-K level the guides are divided into three categories; human body, health problems, and personal health.
Kids Health in the Classroom hosts The Game Closet containing games, movies, quizzes, and activities for learning about topics in health. The contents of The Game Closet has a section for teenagers and a section for younger students.
Applications for Education
If teaching personal health lessons is a part of your teaching responsibilities, Kids Health in the Classroom could be a great resource for you to bookmark. The Game Closet could provide some individual activities that your students can do to reinforce the ideas that you teach in your classroom.

Bison, Bears, Birds, and Puppies - Live Webcams
Explore.org is a great site featuring live webcams of bison, bears, birds, whales, seals, elephants, kittens, and puppies. The webcams are all over the world. When the live feeds aren't working or aren't exciting, switch to Explore's YouTube channel for recorded videos. The Explore YouTube channel features edited "highlight" videos from the webcams.
Applications for Education
Explore.org offers a lesson plan section for teachers. Not all lesson plans are appropriate for all grades and the lesson plans are labeled accordingly. All of the lesson plans are based upon videos hosted by Explore.

A Crash Course on the Lymphatic System
One of the most popular posts in November was 11 TED-Ed Videos on How the Human Body Works. Those videos are good introductions to a lot of topics in anatomy and physiology. For a more detailed look at topics in anatomy and physiology take a look at Crash Course A&P. The latest installment in the series is about the lymphatic system.
This Crash Course series is appropriate as review material for high school students who already have a fairly good understanding of anatomy and physiology.
These apps and sites are appropriate for younger students to learn about anatomy and physiology.
