From time to time we all need to convert a document from one format to another. There are lots of online tools that will do that for you. Perhaps the simplest one that I've tried is a service called Easy PDF. To use Easy PDF you do not need to register on the site, there is not any advertising on the site, and Easy PDF does not watermark your converted documents. Watch my video to see how easy it is to convert a PDF into a Word document with Easy PDF.
Applications for Education
If you work in a school or school district in capacity that has you filling out lots of forms from various agencies, you've probably found yourself dealing with files in multiple formats. A tool like Easy PDF can be a good one to keep bookmarked and handy for those times when you need to quickly convert something into Word format.

Cometdocs - PDF to Word and Many Other Conversions
Cometdocs is a service for quickly converting documents and sharing them with others. Cometdocs will convert your documents to and from Word, PDF, and Excel. When you use Cometdocs to convert a document you can share directly with others via email. After converting your documents Cometdocs also gives you a public URL that you can post for others to use to download your document.
To use Cometdocs just upload a document, select the action that you want performed and enter your email address to share the document. Cometdocs has free and paid plans. The free plan limits you to five conversions per week.
Applications for Education
If you're looking for a quick way to share PDFs or Word documents with students, Cometdocs is worth giving a try. You can do some of the same things with Google Drive, but if you're not a Google Drive user then Cometdocs might be for you.

Convert PDF to Word for Free
Last week after I wrote about Magazinify I had a handful of readers inquire about tools for converting PDFs into editable Word documents. Here's what I recommend: PDF to Word is simple tool that extracts the text of your PDF documents and converts it to your choice of a Word document or rich text file (RTF). To use it, simply upload your chosen PDF, choose Word or RTF conversion, and enter your email address (don't forget to opt-out of marketing emails, unless you like spam). PDF to Word will email you when your file is ready for download. PDF to Word also offers a subscription service for batch conversions on your desktop.
Applications for Education
The reason I initially discovered PDF to Word a couple of years ago was that I had some PDFs of quizzes and activities that I had created and saved as PDFs before I knew the joys of Google Docs. I don't remember why I saved them as PDFs, but I'm sure it was a good reason at the time. PDF to Word made it possible for me to edit those quizzes and activities again
