Soshiku - A Good Tool for Assignment Management

Soshiku is a free personal planner designed for high school and college students. Soshiku lets students organize their assignments by course, add assignments, and receive text message and or email reminders before each assignment is due. Students can add assignments to their calendars directly on the Soshiku website or via text message. Registering and getting started with Soshiku is quick and the user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. Soshiku has been optimized to run on iPads and Android tablets too.

Applications for Education
Soshiku is a good service for students to manage their assignment due dates. The options for assignment reminders can be received via email or text days or weeks before each assignment is due.

Wipee List - A Simple To Do List Manager

Wipee List is a simple list making and to-do list management tool. I took Wipee List for a test drive this evening and found it to be one of the easiest to use websites of its kind. Here's how Wipee List functions: sign in, click add an item, then type your "to do" item. If an item has immediate priority you can drag it to a "quick reminders" sticky note. When you complete an item drag it to the trash bin. If you're working on a project with someone you can share your list with a specific url assigned to your list. (See my sample list here).

Applications for Education
Wipee List is a simple tool that could help students keep track of the assignments they need to complete. Wipee List doesn't have all of the "bell and whistles" of some other organization tools, but that might be a benefit in some situations. For a student that is easily distracted by too many options on website, Wipee List could be the organization tool he or she needs.

If Wipee List is too basic for you or your students, give Soshiku a look.

Group Table - Group Academic Planner

Group Table is a new collaboration tool designed for students. Group Table can be used by students to plan group projects, share resources, store files, and email each other. I gave Group Table a test drive this evening and found it to be easy to set up an account and create groups. The binder feature is a good utility for organizing files relevant to your group. Group Table is intended for use by college students, but it could also be useful for high school students. Two similar tools that high school students may want to try are Wiggio and Soshiku.

Applications for Education
Group Table could be a good resource for high school and college students to share notes, share files, and organize group projects. Group Table could be particularly useful for students taking courses that only meet once a week, but need to share thoughts and comments about the readings for the course.

Soshiku - A Student Planner with Text Reminders

Soshiku is a free personal planner designed for high school and college students. Soshiku lets students organize their assignments by course, add assignments, and receive text message and or email reminders before each assignment is due. Students can add assignments to their calendars directly on the Soshiku website or via text message. Registering and getting started with Soshiku is quick and the user interface is very intuitive and easy to learn.

Applications for Education
Soshiku is a good program for students to manage their assignment due dates. The options for assignment reminders can be received via email or text days or weeks before each assignment is due. Soshiku will be good for high school students, but it probably requires a little too much self-discipline for middle school students.
