TenMarks Offers a Free Summer Math Program for Families

For the second year in a row TenMarks is making their family math program free for the summer months.

The TenMarks summer program begins with students taking an assessment. After taking the assessment  an individualized program that adapts to his or her specific needs is created for the student. Each student’s summer curriculum is designed to review concepts from the past year, and get introduced to concepts for the year ahead. TenMarks offers real-time feedback to students and their parents. The feedback measures a student's progress toward a standard or goal. Based upon a student's responses to questions the program automatically adjusts to provide more or less of a type of question.

TenMarks Adds New Free Features for Teachers

TenMarks is a service that offers an online mathematics program designed to supplement your in-classroom mathematics instruction. The service allows you to choose from a selection of more than 20,000 practice problems to assign to your students through your TenMarks online classroom. TenMarks has added some new free features for the 2014-2015 school year.

The TenMarks teacher dashboard has been updated to provide easier access to your students' performance data. From the dashboard you can view whole class summaries and individual student summaries. You can generate reports about specific standards and assignments while also viewing the amount of time a student spent on a particular assignment.

Middle school and high school teachers will be happy to note that TenMarks has expanded the content available for Algebra, Algebra II, and Geometry.

If you haven't seen or heard of TenMarks before today, watch the short video below for an overview of its core features.

TenMarks Offers 20,000+ Math Practice Problems Aligned to Common Core Standards

TenMarks is a service that offers an online mathematics program designed to supplement your in-classroom mathematics instruction. I tried the service when it launched a couple of years ago. Today, I revisited it when I learned that they now align all of their practice activities to Common Core Standards.

Within TenMarks teachers create class rosters and accounts for their students. After creating rosters teachers can assign practice problems to students. Teachers can assign problems based on the Common Core Standards that their students are trying to reach.

Applications for Education
TenMarks could be an excellent resource for elementary school and middle school teachers. TenMarks provides an efficient way to provide practice problems and track students' progress. The information gathered about students' progress can be used to influence the creation of lesson plans tailored to students' specific needs.
